Job Description

Step into an impactful educational environment supporting K-12 students as an ASL Interpreter for a contract role running through May 28, 2027. Collaborate on-site with a diverse team to bridge communication and foster inclusivity for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Qualifications:
Hold active certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (such as RID-NIC or
NAD IV/V
) OR achieved a score of 4.0 or higher on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) and passed the EIPA written exam Previous experience working in educational settings, particularly with K12 students, is highly valued Strong proficiency in American Sign Language and interpreting skills within classroom environments Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities Commitment to onsite work (remote or voco options are not available) Professionalism and adaptability within multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
Provide clear and accurate ASL interpretation for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students throughout their daily academic activities Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom setting by working closely with teachers, staff, and families Prepare for lessons and activities to ensure comprehension and engagement for all students Maintain confidentiality and honor ethical standards in educational interpreting Participate in ongoing training and development as required by the school Perks of the
