Qualifications:
Current national certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (RID, EIPA, or similar) Proven experience interpreting in educational settings preferred Ability to facilitate communication between Deaf/hard-of-hearing students and school staff Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) Adaptability to different classroom environments and age groups
Responsibilities:
Provide interpretation services during classroom instruction, meetings, school activities, and events Work closely with teachers to support student access and engagement Assist with translation of instructional materials as needed Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful communication environment Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
