Freelance Medical Interpreters Needed - Greensboro, NC & Surrounding Areas Language Resource Center Inc. - 2.0 High Point, NC Job Details Freelance From $20 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Interpretation Full Job Description Language Resource Center (LRC) is seeking professional freelance interpreters (independent contractors) to support a valued healthcare client in Greensboro, NC and surrounding communities, including Winston-Salem, Kernersville, High Point, Burlington, Lexington, Thomasville, Asheboro, and nearby areas . We are currently recruiting interpreters in a variety of languages. Preferred languages include, but are not limited to: Spanish American Sign Language (ASL) Hmong Rohingya Wolof Jarai Russian Ukrainian Mandarin Korean Hindi Urdu Polish Burmese Arabic Tagalog If you are fluent in another language, we still encourage you to apply. Position Overview As a freelance interpreter with Language Resource Center, you will provide in-person interpretation services that facilitate accurate communication between patients and healthcare providers. Our interpreters play a vital role in ensuring equitable access to healthcare for individuals with limited English proficiency and members of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. What We're Looking For We are seeking dependable professionals who: Demonstrate excellent time management and punctuality. Maintain a high level of professionalism on every assignment. Follow all client policies and procedures. Adhere to Language Resource Center's standards and expectations. Uphold the National Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice for Interpreters. Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and impartiality. Communicate effectively with schedulers, clients, and healthcare staff. Accept only assignments they can reliably fulfill. Preferred Qualifications Professional interpreting experience (medical interpreting preferred). Interpreter certification or credentials are preferred but not required for all languages. ASL interpreters working in North Carolina must possess a current NCITLB license. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the Greensboro region.
