Desired Qualifications:

ASLPI score of 4.1 or above (required for consideration) Demonstrated experience interpreting in educational or school environments, especially 1:1 settings Strong fluency in American Sign Language Ability to adapt language and approach based on student age and individual needs Effective collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and other support professionals Proven professionalism, reliability, and compassion in student support roles

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, accurate sign language interpreting services for one student across their academic day Ensure clear, confidential communication between students, peers, and school staff Support classroom participation and help facilitate full access to curriculum and social interactions Monitor and respond to the changing needs of the student, adjusting interpreting strategies as necessary Document student progress and collaborate with educational teams for optimal support Uphold professional standards and ethical guidelines relevant to interpreting in educational settings Whats in it for you?
