Key Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) National or state interpreter certification (such as EIPA, RID, or NIC preferred) Prior experience in educational settings is an advantage Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills Commitment to confidentiality and student advocacy
Responsibilities:
Interpret spoken and written communication to facilitate classroom learning Support students, teachers, and staff by bridging communication gaps Contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and documentation Maintain professionalism and neutrality in all interpreting situations Promote inclusion and understanding within the school community
