9521101-97520 Job Description Bring your expertise as a Sign Language Interpreter to an impactful role supporting students across K-12 settings for the 2026-2027 school year. Four full-time interpreters are needed for onsite work, providing essential communication access for students in educational environments near Ashland, Oregon, with assignments in the Rosenburg and Douglas areas. As a contract team member, you'll play a key role in fostering inclusive education by facilitating understanding between deaf or hard-of-hearing students, their peers, and school staff. This opportunity runs from August 24, 2026, through June 11, 2027.

Desired Qualifications:

Valid OR Sign Language Interpreter Certification or Licensure is required Experience working with children or youth in educational settings preferred Proficient in ASL and familiar with interpreting best practices Strong ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team Flexibility and adaptability to various classroom environments and student needs

Key Responsibilities:

Provide accurate, high-quality ASL interpreting for students, staff, and families during classes, school events, and meetings Prepare for varied educational content across multiple grade levels and subjects Support students engagement and classroom participation through effective communication Adhere to all state, federal, and district guidelines for educational interpreting Maintain clear records of services delivered and communicate progress and needs with the educational team This is a full-time, onsite position with the chance to make a significant impact throughout the school year.
