Sign Language Interpreter in Eagle Point, OR

Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of students by providing essential communication support as a Sign Language Interpreter during the full 2026-2027 school year. Four skilled interpreters are needed to work onsite within K-12 settings across two beautiful Southern Oregon communities. If you bring expertise in American Sign Language and hold active Oregon certification or licensure, this long-term contract assignment offers the chance to support students growth, inclusion, and achievement each day.
Qualifications:
Current Oregon Sign Language Interpreter certification/licensure required Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) with the ability to interpret in educational settings Experience supporting diverse K-12 student caseloads strongly preferred Collaborative communication skills and reliability Commitment to working onsite for the duration of the school year
Key Responsibilities:
Provide accurate and impartial sign language interpretation for students, teachers, and staff during school activities, classroom instruction, assemblies, and meetings Cultivate an inclusive learning environment for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students across multiple grade levels Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, and other team members to support individual student needs Adapt to a variety of subject areas and schedule changes as needed Support student engagement and foster independence in communication What to
