Position Summary Pittston Co-Packers is seeking bilingual Mandarin-English students to support communication between our Chinese-speaking technical teams and English-speaking employees at our manufacturing facility in Pittston, PA. This position will primarily provide onsite interpretation and communication support related to engineering, equipment, maintenance, production, and manufacturing activities . Professional translation experience is not required. We are especially interested in candidates studying engineering, mechanical technology, manufacturing, maintenance, or other technical fields who are comfortable communicating in both Mandarin Chinese and English. This is a great opportunity for students who want to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while developing their technical and cross-cultural communication skills. Key Responsibilities Provide Mandarin-English interpretation between Chinese-speaking engineers, technicians, and English-speaking employees. Assist with communication during equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, training, and other technical activities. Help explain technical instructions, equipment-related information, and operational requirements between teams. Support communication during meetings, production-floor discussions, and technical training sessions. Assist with basic translation of technical documents, instructions, training materials, or other internal materials as needed. Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, and other departments to support effective communication. Perform other bilingual communication support as assigned. Qualifications Fluent or highly proficient in both Mandarin Chinese and English . Currently enrolled in college or recently graduated; students are strongly encouraged to apply. Engineering or technical background is preferred, including but not limited to: Mechanical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Technology Electrical Engineering Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering/Technology Mechatronics Automation Maintenance Technology Other related technical majors Professional translation or interpretation experience is not required. Comfortable working and communicating in a manufacturing environment. Able to understand technical concepts and communicate information clearly between Chinese- and English-speaking teams. Reliable, responsible, and willing to learn. Must be able to work onsite in Pittston, PA . Schedule This is an internship position . Work hours may be arranged based on the candidate's school schedule and the facility's technical support needs.

Pay:

$15.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per week
