Qualifications:
National certification in Sign Language Interpreting (such as RID or EIPA) strongly preferred Experience interpreting in K-12 educational settings Demonstrated ability to provide clear, accurate, and culturally appropriate interpretation Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and teams
Responsibilities:
Interpret for students, teachers, and staff within school environments Ensure effective communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing students and the educational community Maintain professional standards of confidentiality and ethics Support special events, meetings, and classroom instruction as assigned Collaborate with educational teams on student needs and program improvements
