Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Credentialed Sign Language Interpreter (with required state or national certification) Experience interpreting in K12 school settings strongly preferred Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary educational teams Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing students and staff Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school events Support student participation in academic and extracurricular activities Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions Adapt interpreting style to suit student and classroom needs
