Job Title:

ASL Interpreter (School-Based)

Pay Range:

Role:

As a Sign Language Interpreter with Point Quest Group, you'll play a vital role in ensuring equitable access to education for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Provide interpretation services for students and families, for school meetings. This role requires strong real-time interpreting skills, collaboration with teachers, staff, and related service providers to support student/family during meetings and conferences. . This role is ideal for someone who is highly skilled, culturally aware, and passionate about inclusion — because every student deserves to be heard and understood.

What You'll Do:

Interpret spoken language into ASL and ASL into spoken language to facilitate communication Provide interpretation services for students and families, for school meetings. This role requires strong real-time interpreting skills, collaboration with teachers, staff, and related service providers to support student/family during meetings and conferences. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional interpreting standards

What We're Looking For:

Must Have Certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter or equivalent) Department of Justice/FBI Background Check (or equivalent state or national fingerprint clearance) RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) certification required EIPA score of 3.5 or higher preferred/accepted Strong ASL fluency and ability to interpret in real-time academic settings Preferred Prior experience interpreting in a K-12 school setting Strong understanding of Deaf culture and educational interpreting best practices Experience working with students with diverse learning and communication needs About Point Quest Group Point Quest Group is a leading national provider of special education services, partnering with 350+ school districts to help students with unique needs thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Environment :

Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes.

Activity :

Frequent engagement in tasks such as reaching, handling, standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.
