Job#: 3049501 Lighting Sales Representative II - Tuscaloosa, AL Our client is seeking two Lighting Sales Representative II contractors to support outdoor lighting operations across Alabama. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working directly with customers, traveling within their assigned territory, and coordinating projects from initial customer request through installation.
This is an entry-level opportunity within the lighting organization and provides exposure to utility operations, customer engagement, field assessments, and project coordination. LocationTuscaloosa, AL (Western Division)Position SummaryThe Lighting Sales Representative II serves as the primary point of contact for customer-generated outdoor lighting requests. This role involves conducting field visits, evaluating lighting needs, gathering site information, coordinating installation requirements, and supporting lighting projects throughout the assigned territory.
Unlike traditional sales positions, this role does not require outbound sales, prospecting, or lead generation. All work originates from customer requests and internal project assignments. Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to customer requests for outdoor lighting services and installationsConduct site visits and meet directly with customers to assess lighting needsGather field data and document project requirementsEvaluate installation needs, including pole placement and lighting configurationsEnter project information into company systems and databasesCoordinate project handoff to installation and field crewsSupport LED lighting upgrade initiatives and new customer lighting installationsMaintain accurate records and project documentationTravel throughout the assigned division to meet customers and perform field assessmentsCollaborate with internal operations, engineering, and field teams to ensure successful project execution Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent0-3 years of professional experienceStrong customer service and communication skillsBasic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software systemsAbility to work independently and manage multiple projectsValid driver's license and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory Preferred QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related fieldExperience working with customers in a professional settingExperience with project coordination, utility operations, construction, or field servicesFamiliarity with Microsoft Excel and other business applications Work EnvironmentHybrid schedule with a combination of office, field, and remote workOne designated work-from-home day per week, based on business needsSignificant local travel throughout the assigned divisionMileage reimbursement provided for business travel Why This Opportunity?
