The Broadcast Assistant's primary responsibility is to assist the Stage and Broadcast Manager in all areas of the video and stage productions, including the technical aspects of live entertainment and the audio-visual content for the onboard TV system.

JOB SPECIFICS

Video production Film, edit and broadcast the daily TV show. Ensure relevant information is broadcasted to the Residents community. Film, edit and upload lectures, shows and performances onto IPTV system. Produce video graphics for onboard productions as instructed by the Stage and Broadcast Manager Maintain properly all audiovisual (AV) equipment for maximum longevity and cleanliness. Report any equipment malfunction to the Stage & Broadcast Manager Operate video cameras and photo cameras as required. Assist with the duplication of videos, DVDs and USBs for Residents and Guests within copyright limitations Stage production Set up of AV equipment during presentations, lectures, meetings and events and for Residents' and Guests' functions Operate sound, light, video and other technical equipment during lectures, shows and performances Provide technical support to Guest Lecturers, onboard Musicians and others as required. Provide AV support and set-up for Residents and Guests Supply and ensure smooth running of all Ship's outlets background music, including restaurants, bars, lobby, theater and other public areas Operate the screening of movies in the theater. General Exceed Resident and Guest expectations in every aspect of personalized service in accordance with Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards. Actively support the goals and objectives for the department and adhere to all new policies and company initiatives as assigned. Actively participate in Company trainings as and when required Maintain accurate Time & Attendance Records for each time period worked Ensure all areas are maintained in accordance with Public Health, Safety Management System (SMS) and Safety & Environmental regulations; adhering to Company Policies and procedures as appropriate to the position Execute safety duties as per the Emergency Plan and Station Bill Conduct inventories of all technical equipment in the broadcast venues and ensure any deficiencies are recorded and repaired. Assist with the set-up, decoration and breakdown of venues for events organized by the Program Division when required Assist with Ship tours, Zodiac landings, Marina days, Expeditions, and other activities when required

SKILSS & ABILITIES

Able to read, write and speak fluently in English High School Diploma in related field preferred Drone Pilot license preferred Minimum of 3 year's relevant experience on a luxury cruise ship, private country club or similar, luxury hotel or resort One additional language (French German, Italian) is preferred Good computer skills to include Word, Excel and Outlook Camera operation and recording and photography (DSLR, Video Cameras, UAV, etc.) Minimum of one years' experience with Final Cut Pro and Adobe Products such as Premiere, After Effects, for video production and Photoshop and Lightroom for photography Good knowledge of DVD Authorizing Software and iTunes Experience in Live broadcasting Ship based broadcast equipment. Good understanding of Satellite tuners and receivers Knowledge of Band set-ups Stage equipment and rigging, included but not limited to: cable patching, rack mounting, sound and light setup and programming, lighting kits and lighting control boards Set up and operating of audio, video and light equipment for live events

PHYSICAL CONDITIONS

Ability to work seven (7) days a week for an extended period, including day or night, weekends and holidays. While performing the essential functions of this job, all Crew are required to stand, walk long distances on the Ship and may include the repetitive motion of bending, climbing, going up and down the stairs and lifting up to 23 kilograms. All Team members must be physically able to participate in emergency life-saving procedures and drills. All vessel positions require full use and range of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency including the lowering of lifeboats. Work within different temperature changes
