Premier Lighting of Fort Myers is a locally owned but nationally backed premier lighting company enhancing the outdoor living experience of customers in Naples, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, Sarasota, Manatee and the surrounding areas. We specialize in permanent rooflines for private and commercial properties, pool enclosures, landscape, events and of course holiday lighting. The Opportunity This is an exciting ground floor opportunity with training provided for a male/female looking to build a career in the rewarding outdoor lighting sector. You will be responsible for the installation of low-voltage outdoor lighting systems in residential and commercial settings as a part of an energized ambitious team that is success and customer service driven. At this time of year we are heavily focused on Holiday lighting, both traditional and permanent but come Q1 the majority of our work will be landscape and permanent lighting. About the Role Lighting Installation Technicians are responsible for the installation of low-voltage lighting products while maintaining safe and professional standards. Technicians will communicate clearly with the team and the customer where appropriate to ensure quality and maintain the scope of the project. Technicians must be comfortable working on a ladder, comfortable with heights and working over a pool and getting into crawl spaces. This is an outdoor position, so must be comfortable working in all weather conditions particularly the Florida heat.

Key Responsibilities:

Assembling lights and mounting them in prescribed locations Installing Holiday lighting Speaking with the customer to up-sell other products Provide the customer with system orientation as applicable Proper care and operation of company vehicles Running and burying low voltage wiring in landscape areas and lawns Mounting transformers and connecting wire runs Clean up of all areas affected by the installation Providing direction and/or assistance to other installers when applicable Providing an incredible experience for EVERY client Position Type/Expected hours worked: This is a full-time position, and primary hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. (flexible seasonal start/end times) with the occasional potential for weekend hours. Regular, punctual, and consistent attendance is required.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required Has a driver's license with a clean driving record (no moving violations or accidents in the last three years) Makes a good first impression by being well-groomed, articulate, personable, and comfortable with meeting new people Above-average technical ability Experience in the installation of permanent track lighting and landscape lighting. Attention to detail and respect for our customer's property Proactive, problem solver Strong sense of pride and integrity in work product Strong ability to multi-task, stay organized, and communicate effectively Positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times

Preferred Qualifications:

Permanent, Landscape and Holiday Lighting experience Low voltage electrical experience
