Per-job installation pay, project-management fees, 7.5% override and performance bonuses Position Overview Alfresco Lighting is hiring an experienced and dependable Outdoor Lighting Installation Team Lead to train installers and manage outdoor lighting projects from start to finish. This is a hands-on leadership position. The Team Lead will organize crews, train new installers, manage materials and equipment, oversee installation quality, communicate with customers, and ensure every assigned project is completed correctly. We are looking for someone who leads by example and is willing to work alongside the installation crew—not someone who only gives instructions. Compensation Team Leads have multiple ways to earn. Personal Installation Pay When the Team Lead physically works as part of the installation crew, estimated compensation is: Small projects: $200 Medium-sized projects: $400 Large projects: $600 Project-Management Pay When the Team Lead manages an assigned project from start to finish, additional compensation is: Small projects: $75 management fee Medium-sized projects: $125 management fee Large projects: $200 management fee Team Lead Override Team Leads earn a 7.5% override on eligible installation revenue collected from the projects they manage . Eligible installation revenue excludes materials, permits, sales taxes, discounts, refunds, financing or processing fees, separately subcontracted specialty work, and unpaid customer balances. Overrides are earned after the customer's payment has been collected, the project has been successfully completed, and all required job-completion information has been submitted. Warranty work or work required to correct preventable installation errors does not generate an additional override unless approved by management. Additional BonusesInstaller Training Bonus Earn a $150 training bonus for each new installer who: Completes the required hands-on training Successfully completes five approved projects Demonstrates the ability to work safely and independently Remains active with the company for at least 30 days Monthly Performance Bonus Team Leads may earn the following monthly bonuses: 10 approved completed projects: $250 15 approved completed projects: $500 20 approved completed projects: $750 Only the highest bonus tier reached during the month will be paid. To qualify, the Team Lead must: Keep preventable customer callbacks below 5% Have no unresolved customer complaints Submit all required job photos and documentation Properly track tools and materials Meet project deadlines Maintain company installation and safety standards Primary Responsibilities Manage assigned outdoor lighting projects from start to finish Review the project scope before arriving at the jobsite Confirm that the required lights, wire, bulbs, tools and materials are available Organize the installation crew and assign responsibilities Train new installers through hands-on jobsite instruction Supervise trenching for low-voltage outdoor lighting wire Install and oversee the installation of outdoor lighting fixtures Run, connect, bury and organize low-voltage wiring Install and replace bulbs, fixtures and lighting components Test the complete lighting system before leaving the property Troubleshoot lighting and installation problems Protect customers' landscaping, lawns, homes and property Maintain a clean and organized jobsite Communicate professionally with customers Provide customers with appropriate project updates Take before-and-after photos Submit project-completion reports Report additional work or changes before completing work outside the approved scope Confirm that every project meets Alfresco Lighting's quality standards Take responsibility for the crew's performance and finished work Required Experience Minimum of three years of relevant hands-on experience Experience in outdoor lighting, low-voltage systems, landscaping, construction, electrical work or a related trade Previous leadership, training or crew-management experience Experience using common installation and landscaping tools Ability to troubleshoot problems in the field Ability to train workers with little or no previous experience Strong customer-service and communication skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple job responsibilities Ability to perform physical outdoor work Ability to dig, lift, bend, kneel and stand for extended periods Dependable transportation and communication Professional appearance and conduct Strong attention to detail What Alfresco Lighting Offers Multiple performance-based income opportunities Priority access to larger and more profitable projects Leadership responsibility over installation crews Opportunities to build and develop your own crew Performance and training bonuses Hands-on company process and product training Opportunity to advance into an Installation Manager or Operations Manager position as the company grows Ideal Candidate The ideal Team Lead can arrive at a project, review the scope, organize the crew, manage the installation, resolve problems, inspect the completed work, communicate with the customer, and close out the project correctly. You must be comfortable taking ownership of project quality, crew productivity, customer communication and final completion.
