White Performing Arts Theatre. Performs sound and video setup, configuration, and operations. Maintains lighting and sound systems for theater, dance, music, speaking events, and special projects. Assists guest designers and clients, providing technical guidance, equipment lists, and theater drawings. Meets with rental clients to discuss needs, monitors, maintains, and repairs theater equipment, including lighting, sound, seating, curtains, and stage facilities, Coordinates setup and teardown of audio equipment as assigned. Advises on technical specifications, costs, and equipment usage while ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Designs, sets up, maintains, and operates lighting and sound systems for theater, dance, music, speaking events, and projects in the theater. Assists guest designers and clients with technical matters. Provides equipment lists, lighting and sound paperwork, and theater drawings upon request. Meets with potential theater rental clients on a regular basis to discuss their needs and expectations. Attends production meetings and technical rehearsals to supervise the technical mounting of productions. Monitors the condition of equipment including lighting, sound equipment, and other theater assets. Conducts routine maintenance, preventive care, and repair. Performs general maintenance and upkeep of the theater space, to include replacing and/or moving light fixtures; fixing theater seating; maintaining cyclorama, curtains and stage skirt; and re-painting the stage. Conducts set up and tear down of audio equipment for Boards & Commission meetings and special events. Advises production managers, lighting, and sound designers on technical specifications, costs, and usage of technical equipment required for an individual show or performance. Supervises and assists with stage management. Maintains knowledge of safety protocols related to theater use. Operates, maintains, and safeguards the technical assets of the theater and the Hannah Community Center's audio-visual assets, including supervising the use of lighting, sound, communications equipment, and the use and maintenance of stage facilities. Performs related work as required.
