Seasonal Lighting Installation Tech

• 30/hour, determined by Motivation, Reliability and Experience About Us Lucent Landscape & Lighting is a locally owned and operated company providing lighting and landscaping services across Metro Detroit and nearby communities.

We specialize in both commercial and residential landscaping, as well as patio, holiday, event, and permanent lighting. Our peak season runs from October through Christmas, particularly focused on holiday projects. Most recently, we have continued to stay busy throughout the spring and summer seasons, however. • You will start as a seasonal employee with the possibility of becoming a full-time, year-round opportunity based on performance and business needs
• Your training takes place in the field
• Field training entails guidance on how we install lights and decorations with owner on-site to ensure quality assurance
• Hours may vary. We start at 8:00 AM and go to 6:00 PM, or a little later
• 5 to 6 days a week, a 40 to 50 hour week (as needed)
• Some of the work we do can be tedious, so attention to detail is essential
• We are outside in the elements year-round in all weather conditions
• Our customers love what we do. And it is really fun to view the work we perform during the holidays
• We have many high-profile accounts

• Paid every 2 weeks

Requirements:

• A valid driver's license, and must be able to get to and from work
• The ability to pull a trailer is helpful
• Being able to work on both extension ladders, stepladders and roofs. A fear of heights will not work in this job. We get on roofs to install lights
• Being able to lift the biggest of those ladders. Up to 100 pounds per person
• Being able to work with hand tools
• Having the ability to do basic math
• Being organized
• Being a team player

Preferred Experience:

• Lighting or landscape experience
• Creativity
• home services and design
• Being handy

Physical Demands:

This position is the backbone of our organization and integral to our future success. You are responsible for traveling to and from job sites to install/test equipment, troubleshoot problems as needed and clean up the job after completion. You will be required to lift up to 100 lbs. regularly & repeatedly and must be able to stand/walk/climb for most the entire day. Be capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions.
