We engineer extraordinary experiences by combining professional-grade equipment with knowledgeable technicians and exceptional client service. As CET continues to grow, we are looking to expand our team of skilled event production technicians who can join us on an on-call, event-by-event basis. Position Overview CET is seeking dependable, technically capable Event Production Technicians to assist with the setup, operation, and teardown of professional audio, lighting, and video systems. This is a part-time, on-call position with a variable schedule based on our event calendar. Work may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and occasional regional travel. We are looking for technicians with experience in one or more live production disciplines. Applicants do not need to be experts in audio, lighting, and video to be considered, however it is strongly preferred. Candidates with strong experience in one discipline and a willingness to learn others are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Depending on your experience and the needs of each event, responsibilities may include: Loading and unloading production equipment Preparing, testing, and organizing equipment before events Setting up and striking professional audio, lighting, video, staging, and related production equipment Running and dressing power, audio, DMX, network and video cabling Assisting with speaker deployment and sound system setup Patching and operating digital audio consoles (experience with Midas M32 consoles preferred) Setting up, addressing, and troubleshooting intelligent lighting fixtures Operating or assisting with grandMA2 and grandMA3 lighting control systems Building, cabling, configuring, and striking modular LED video walls Assisting with video processors, signal distribution, and video playback systems Troubleshooting technical issues during setup and live events Maintaining clean, safe, and professional work areas Interacting professionally with clients, venues, performers, and other production personnel Following CET procedures and the direction of production leads, project managers, A1s, L1s, V1s, and other department leads. Audio Experience Experience with professional live audio systems is highly valued, particularly: Midas digital consoles and stage boxes JBL professional loudspeaker systems Digital audio signal flow Audio networking System deployment, patching, and troubleshooting Microphones, wireless systems, monitors and stage patching Live mixing and/or audio engineer experience Experience with other professional console and loudspeaker platforms is also valuable. Lighting Experience Preferred lighting experience includes: grandMA2 and/or grandMA3 DMX and network-based lighting control Fixture addressing and configuration Intelligent moving lights Lighting system setup and troubleshooting Programming and/or operating live event lighting systems Safe rigging practices for lighting truss and fixtures Experience with other professional lighting platforms will also be considered and is also valuable. Video Experience Preferred video experience includes: Modular LED video wall assembly and teardown LED panel power and data distribution Video processors and controllers (specifically NovaStar processors) LED wall mapping and configuration Video signal distribution Familiarity with video switchers and playback systems (specifically BlackMagic Designs) Troubleshooting LED panels, data paths, and video signals Experience repairing LED modules and LED panels is highly valued Experience with NovaStar systems is especially valuable.

Qualifications Required qualifications:

Previous experience in live events, AV, concerts, theater, entertainment technology, or a related field Working knowledge of at least one of the following disciplines: professional audio, entertainment lighting, or live video Ability and willingness to learn unfamiliar equipment systems Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Dependable transportation Ability to arrive on time and prepared for scheduled calls Ability to work evenings, weekends, and irregular event schedules Ability to work effectively as part of a production crew Professional appearance and communication when working around clients Ability to safely perform the physical duties associated with live event production Preferred qualifications: Experience across multiple production disciplines Midas console experience JBL professional audio experience grandMA2 or grandMA3 experience LED video wall experience NovaStar processor experience Experience with corporate AV, concerts, festivals, or touring productions Familiarity with entertainment networking and signal distribution OSHA, lift, rigging, or other relevant production certifications (LSO certifications are highly valuable)

Physical Requirements:

This is a hands-on live event position.

Technicians must be comfortable:

Lifting and carrying production equipment Moving road cases and other heavy equipment as part of a team Standing and working for extended periods Bending, kneeling, reaching, and working in active production environments Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Working around loud audio systems, theatrical lighting, staging, and other production equipment Working extended event days when required Schedule This is an on-call, event-based position rather than a guaranteed fixed weekly schedule. Technicians will be contacted regarding available event calls and scheduled based on availability, experience, and the technical requirements of each production.

Typical calls may include:

Equipment preparation Load-ins Show calls Corporate event operation Concert and festival production and operation Load-outs/strikes Some events may require regional travel or overnight stays.
