Cedar Crest Academy is seeking a passionate, energetic Preprimary Performing Arts Specialist (Music & Theater) to join our collaborative team. This full-time position serves students across our campuses in Bellevue & Redmond, bringing engaging music and theater experiences to children in Young Preschool through Pre-Kindergarten while also supporting our Elementary After Care program at our Bellewood campus. Foster children's creativity, confidence, self-expression, and appreciation for the performing arts through singing, movement, rhythm, storytelling, dramatic play, and age-appropriate performances. Develop a curriculum that introduces foundational music concepts and theater experiences while supporting children's cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development. Provide supervision and enrichment for students in the Elementary After Care program, supporting homework, creative activities, outdoor play, and positive social interactions. Collaborate with classroom teachers and school leadership to support continuity between the school day, specialist instruction, and after-school programming. Create an inclusive, welcoming environment where every child feels encouraged to participate, explore, and succeed. Maintain organized lesson plans, materials, and classroom spaces while traveling between campuses. Support Cedar Crest Academy's mission of providing an exceptional educational experience for every child. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Music, Theater, Performing Arts, Music Education, Theater Education, or a closely related field strongly preferred. Minimum two years of Preschool or Pre-K teaching experience preferred Minimum two years experience teaching music and/or theater to young children ages 30 months - 4 years old strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to engage young learners through singing, movement, storytelling, dramatic play, and creative expression. Complete all required Washington State DCYF training requirements applicable to the position. Ability to meet Washington State licensing and background check requirements. Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between Cedar Crest Academy campuses. A genuine passion for nurturing young children's creativity, confidence, and love of the performing arts. Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday 40 hours per week Position serves multiple Cedar Crest Academy campuses in Bellevue & Redmond.
