Sunshine Photography is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant School Photographer to join our growing team! For over 15 years, Sunshine Photography has been creating compelling, studio-style portraits for families, dancers, and preschool - 12th grade children throughout the Inland Empire and surrounding areas. During our Fall and Spring seasons, we photograph preschool and private schools throughout the area. We are looking for someone who is excited to learn the business, develop their photography skills, and grow into a professional school photographer with our team. What You'll Do As an Assistant School Photographer, you'll work alongside our experienced photographers on school picture days and learn the skills needed to eventually photograph schools independently.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with school picture-day setup and breakdown Helping prepare and organize photography equipment Assisting photographers with lighting, posing, and camera workflow Working with children to help create a fun, comfortable photography experience Helping keep picture days organized and running smoothly Learning our studio-style school photography techniques and workflow Providing friendly, professional interaction with school staff, teachers, and families Gradually taking on more photography responsibilities as your skills develop Working toward becoming a School Photographer and eventually managing your own school photography assignments No professional photography experience is required. We're more interested in your attitude, reliability, willingness to learn, and genuine interest in photography. Our Ideal Team Member You are someone who: Has some photography experience or a strong interest in learning photography Enjoys working with young children Has an energetic, positive attitude Is dependable, punctual, and self-motivated Is comfortable learning new equipment and technology Can think on your feet and adapt to changing situations Is comfortable lifting, carrying, setting up, and breaking down photography equipment Has reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Is available to work Monday-Friday between approximately 6:00am and 3:00pm during our school photography seasons Grow With Us This position is designed to be more than just an assistant role. Our goal is to train the right person to become a photographer. You'll receive hands-on, paid training and work directly alongside experienced photographers. As you gain confidence and demonstrate your skills, you'll have opportunities to take on more responsibility, photograph independently, and grow within Sunshine Photography.
