When a request doesn't fit a standard process, we rely on creative problem-solving and resourcefulness to make it work, that's the culture you'll be joining. This is a customer service role first. While you'll learn print production, mail sorting, and shipping, what matters most is how you treat people under pressure, everything else is teachable. Prior experience in print production or basic knowledge of graphic design is a huge plus.
The Mindset We're Looking For Solutions-First Mindset:
"No" isn't your default. When faced with tight deadlines or odd requests, your instinct is to figure out how to make it work rather than explain why it can't be done.
Resourceful Problem Solver:
You enjoy the puzzle of working within constraints—reworking a file, substituting materials, or combining processes to get the job done.
Composure Under Pressure:
A busy afternoon might mean a print job mid-run, three people in line, and a mailbox customer waiting for a package. You stay level, prioritize, and keep your cool.
Genuine People Skills:
You read the room, de-escalate stress, and make customers feel heard, even when delivering tough news. This matters more than technical skill. Drive to
Lead:
You want to eventually run daily operations, not just execute tasks. You naturally pay attention to how the overall business works. What You'll Do Customer Service & Front Counter (the core of the job) Be the primary point of contact for walk-in customers, mailbox holders, and shipping customers.
Resolve issues calmly:
missing packages, printing mistakes, unhappy customers, unclear requests. Consult customers on print specs, paper stock, and shipping options in a way that makes their choice easier, not more confusing. Handle cash and payment transactions accurately.
Print Production & File Prep:
Preflight and edit customer files using Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Canva. Operate and maintain digital printers, wide-format printers, and finishing equipment (cutters, laminators, coil binders, folders).
Manage jobs end to end:
quality control, staging, trimming, binding, packaging, on deadline.
Mail & Shipping Operations:
Sort and process incoming mail and packages for physical and virtual mailbox customers. Scan and upload mail for virtual mailbox platforms (iPostal1, Anytime Mailbox) with strict privacy and accuracy standards. Process shipments through multi-carrier POS systems (FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL) and handle custom packing.
Management:
Maintain production schedules and track material inventory (paper, toner, packing supplies). Learn opening/closing procedures, vendor communication, and how to delegate workflow. Take on increasing ownership of daily operations as you demonstrate readiness. Skills & Experience Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva for print file prep. Comfortable moving between computer work, machine operation, and physical tasks in the same shift. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior customer service experience, ideally somewhere with real pressure (retail, food service, a busy front desk) this matters more than prior print or shipping experience.
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
