The Video and Multimedia Producer leads the creation of compelling, distinctive, and inspiring branding video, audio, and motion graphic content that tells the story of the College. Through strategic visual storytelling, this position engages prospective and current students, families, alumni, donors, faculty, and staff while elevating the College's reputation and advancing institutional priorities. This position conceives, develops, and produces creative multimedia solutions that support College initiatives and strategic goals across digital, social, and advertising channels. The Video and Multimedia Producer creates engaging, audience-focused content, measures its effectiveness using analytics, and applies insights to continuously improve future productions. Working collaboratively with colleagues across campus, the Video and Multimedia Producer also manages student interns, coordinates freelance creative partners as needed and helps provide experiential learning opportunities that enhance students' professional development.
Essential Departmental Duties and Responsibilities:
Produces, shoots, and edits high-quality video and multimedia content for the College's website, social media, digital advertising, events, and other communications channels. Plans and executes all phases of video production, including storyboarding, scriptwriting, scheduling, talent coordination, location scouting, filming, audio recording, lighting, and post-production editing, including motion graphics, captioning, and platform-specific formatting. Conducts interviews with students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, trustees, and other stakeholders to capture authentic stories that support the College's marketing and communications efforts. Identifies opportunities to create multimedia content that promotes the College, highlights institutional priorities, and increases audience engagement, while collaborating with the marketing and communications team on creative campaigns and content initiatives. Ensures all video content meets accessibility standards through captioning and other appropriate accommodations. Organizes, maintains, and expands the College's digital media library, including finished productions, b-roll, photography, and archival footage, ensuring assets are properly cataloged, stored, and easily retrievable. Develops and maintains efficient production workflows, file management systems, and archival procedures to support ongoing multimedia production. Monitors content performance using analytics and applies insights to improve future multimedia projects and audience engagement. Trains and supervises student interns, providing meaningful experiential learning opportunities while ensuring high-quality project support. Manages relationships with freelance creative professionals and coordinates external production resources as needed. Oversees the inventory, maintenance, storage, and replacement planning of the College's video production equipment and ensures the College's YouTube channel remains current, organized, and optimized. Stays current with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in video production, multimedia storytelling, and content distribution through ongoing professional development. Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience:
Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism, video production, multimedia production, visual production, visual communications, or related field, from a four-year college or university.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Skills:
Demonstrated skill and experience in video shooting, editing and production, from ideation to finished product, as evidenced by a portfolio of work. Track record of producing high-end imagery for use across the marketing and communications spectrum. Experience overseeing or mentoring staff or student interns. Demonstrated project management ability, managing multiple projects at once and working on deadlines. Broad knowledge of social media video content, multiple formats and styles of short-form storytelling. Photography experience and/or drone licensure a plus. Available to periodically work a non-standard schedule to fulfill assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with college events.
Knowledge:
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Ability to demonstrate leadership and exercise diplomacy, professionalism, consensus building, and discretion with college stakeholders High level of proficiency and experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to Premiere Pro and After Effects or other animation tools, like DaVinci Resolve.
