Job Description

Vocational Ministry within the Body of Christ All positions within Harvest Church are ministry positions within the body of Christ. Harvest Church exists to increase the health and size of God's church everywhere. All positions play a vital role in Harvest fulfilling its mission from Christ, and as such are representatives of His body (1 Corinthians 12: 12-27). As a representative of Christ's body, staff at Harvest are expected to behave in a manner consistent with Biblical guidelines as outlined in the employee handbook, Section II, A. General Description The Service Production Manager oversees all audio, video, and lighting (AVL) production, and the technical delivery of Harvest Church's weekend worship services across all campuses. As a multi-site church with live-stream preaching, Harvest relies on the Service Production Manager (SPM) to ensure that every service is captured, produced, and delivered with excellence—both in the live auditorium, as well as at every campus and online streaming. The SPM oversees all production hardware, software, and systems. The SPM directs the technical execution of the weekend service, and leads the teams responsible for sound, lighting, presentation, and video. In addition to the effective operation of all production systems, the SPM ensures a consistent delivery of the worship service across all campuses. This role serves as the primary technical liaison between global leadership,, the media team, and campus leadership, providing collaboration and consistency across all platforms and campuses. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Production Leadership & Team Supervision Directly supervise the production staff and volunteer teams responsible for audio, lighting, presentation, and video across all campuses. Recruit, train, schedule, develop, and support production team members, building healthy, reliable weekend teams. Set clear expectations and performance standards for each production role and position. Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development to help team members grow in skill, leadership, and ministry impact. Foster a collaborative, Christ-centered team culture marked by excellence and servant leadership. Weekend Service Direction Serve as the production team lead for weekend services, implementing the live technical execution of each service from the control room or booth. Direct the service in real time to deliver a seamless worship service. Supervise the sound booth and audio team to achieve clear, consistent, high-quality mixes for the room, broadcast, and stream. Direct stage management, ensuring the stage is set, reset, and ready for every element of the service. Oversee and communicate with the video production team (Video Director and camera operators) capturing the service for live streaming and distribution to other campuses. Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and calmly during live services, minimizing disruption to worship. Technical Systems, Hardware & Equipment Oversight Manage and maintain all production hardware, including microphones, cabling, audio consoles/sound boards, video switchers, cameras, lighting fixtures, and live-streaming equipment, keeping an accurate inventory across campuses . Ensure all equipment is properly installed, tested, and service-ready. Diagnose, repair, or coordinate repair of production equipment, minimizing downtime and service impact. Recommend and plan equipment upgrades, replacements, and new installations in line with ministry needs and budget. Assist in developing and managing the production budget, making cost-effective recommendations while maintaining quality. Software, Presentation & Broadcast Systems Oversee all software and systems used in the live production, capture, and distribution of weekend services to the internet and to other campuses. Program and manage stage lighting scenes and cues for worship services. Oversee ProPresenter for automated slide decks, song lyrics, and on-screen media, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the service plan. Oversee LED wall content and backgrounds, ensuring visual consistency with the worship and creative direction. Manage streaming, encoding, and broadcast systems that deliver services online and to campus venues reliably and on time. Multi-Site Broadcast & Distribution Ensure the consistent, high-quality delivery of the weekend service to all campuses and online audiences. Maintain the technical standards and systems that keep the worship service unified from campus to campus. Partner with campus teams to resolve production and broadcast issues quickly, both on-site and remotely. Other Responsibilities Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Spiritual:
Profess personal faith in Jesus Christ as evidenced by spiritual maturity and passion for God (Matthew 7: 15-20, John 13:35, Galatians 5: 22-23). Model biblical integrity in all things (Titus 2:7-8). Model obedience in pursuing biblical community and unity within the Body, as described in the "one another" commands (Mark 9:50, John 13:34; Romans 14:19, Phil 2:3). Model obedience and commitment to mortifying sin within your life (1 Corinthians 10:13, 1 John 3: 4-10).
Experience & Knowledge:
Preferred:
Associate's degree or higher in audio/visual technology, production, media, or a related field.
Preferred:
5 years or more of experience in live production, broadcast, or church/event technical production. Demonstrated experience leading or supervising production, technical, or AVL teams, including volunteers. Proficiency with digital audio consoles/sound boards, video switchers, cameras, and live-streaming/encoding systems. Proficiency with ProPresenter (or comparable presentation software) and stage lighting programming with ONYX by Obsidian Control Systems (or comparable lighting systems). Working knowledge of streaming platforms, broadcast systems, and the networking used to distribute services to multiple campuses.
Preferred:
Experience in a multi-campus church, broadcast, or live-event environment.

Ability to remain calm, focused, and decisive while directing live services under pressure. Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. High attention to detail with a commitment to excellence and consistency across campuses.
Additional Requirements:
Weekend (Friday night and Sunday morning) service attendance is required and central to the role. Ability to work evenings, holidays, rehearsals, and special events as required by ministry needs. Willingness to travel between campuses as needed. Ability to lift and move production equipment and to work with rigging, electrical, and lighting equipment in accordance with safety standards. Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and integrity. Flexibility to adapt to changing ministry priorities.
