In this role, you will work closely with our Marketing Coordinator to produce engaging multimedia content that aligns with current trends and marketing strategies. This paid internship offers an opportunity to develop your skills in social media content creation, video editing, and graphic design while contributing to the growth of a well-established electrical wholesaler with over 850 locations nationwide. What You'll Own This role is the engine behind our short-form content pipeline. You'll be responsible for: -

Video Editing:

Editing raw branch footage into finished, on-brand short-form video (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) with captions, cuts, and trending audio.

Content Scheduling:

Building and maintaining the posting calendar across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok for all three PCs.

Caption Writing:

Writing engaging, on-brand captions for every post, following CED's voice and tone guide.

Target output:

5 videos or photo posts per week, per PC (15 pieces/week total), with content reused and repurposed across branches to maximize reach.

Supporting Responsibilities Graphic Design:

Create simple, eye-catching graphics for promotional events, sales announcements, and swag previews using Canva or Adobe Suite.

Asset Management:

Organize raw and finished media files in shared cloud folders (Google Drive / Dropbox).

Trend Tracking:

Track viral audio, video trends, and social features that can be adapted for a trade and B2B audience Hybrid Structure Editing, scheduling, and caption writing can be done independently, on your own schedule, within the week's deadlines. Everything else, training, planning, and hands-on learning happens in person:

In-Person Meetings:

Regular check-ins and content planning meetings with the Marketing Coordinator.

Warehouse & Counter Rotation:

Time in the warehouse and at the counter to understand how a branch actually runs, this is where your best content ideas will come from.

Sales Ride-Along:

Shadow outside sales or a branch manager for a day to see the customer relationship firsthand and capture real footage while you're at it.

Vendor & Product Training:

Sit in on a vendor demo or product training session so you can speak knowledgeably about what you're filming.

Branch Travel:

Occasional paid travel to our Salt Lake City and Ogden branches for multi-location content and cross-branch collaboration.

Events:

Priority access to shoot any trade events, branch openings, or promotional days that fall during your term.

What We're Looking For Editing Skills:

Proficiency in desktop and/or mobile-first editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere/Rush, Canva, etc.).

Social Savvy:

Familiarity with short-form video pacing, hook creation, auto-captions, and trending audio.

Writing Ability:

Comfortable writing clear, on-brand captions and adapting tone across platforms.

Organization:

Able to manage a weekly content calendar and deadlines independently.

Communication:

Clear, proactive updates on project status, feedback, and post schedules.
