Become an integral part of our team as a Production Shop Manager in our thriving multi-division sign company based in Bellingham, WA. In 1992 we started as a full-service traffic control and road signage business; in 2008 we expanded by establishing a custom signage division. As the Production Shop Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day sign shop operations, managing project schedules, and optimizing overall shop production. Your responsibilities include not only managing existing clients, cultivating new business, and implementing growth strategies such as direct sales and estimating but also ensuring the efficient functioning of our production processes. Collaborating closely with the General Manager, you will maximize our sales potential while also managing the operational aspects of the production shop. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Estimate projects and follow budgets. Manage shop and personnel to complete quotes, designs, production and invoicing and complete quotes, production and invoicing. Determine production schedule and ensure completion by overseeing, assigning or completing projects Installation of signage and/or direct the installation of signage when applicable (excludes electrical signage). Accomplish operations and organization mission by completing day-to-day tasks as needed, which may include assisting with manual/physical tasks to complete projects. Oversee and ensure proper inventory and proper equipment use. Work with the General Manager and Special Projects Manager to improve processes, expand systems, forecast new services, and increase sales. Skills, experience and other requirements: 5+ years experience in signage industry 5+ years' experience in a supervisory or management role Experience in operating large format printers, plotters and printer software Familiar with sign making materials and installation process for various materials Ability to work Adobe Illustrator Ability to work Photoshop is a plus Strong communication skills and time management skills Self-starter and strong decision-making and problem solving skills Effective in planning, organizing and delegating Ability to quickly transition from one task to another Must have a valid driver's license and good driving abstract

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

: The majority of the work hours are in a general shop environment, however at times the position may call for work in the field, or loading and unloading signage. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and climb in/out of pick up beds is required.

Hourly Rate:

$28/hr-$30/hr (DOE+) +
