Job Summary:
The Marketing and Video Producer is a strategic, creative content developer and visual storyteller who brings Bellevue Christian School's story to life through dynamic and compelling human stories. This will include storyboarding, writing scripts, directing, filming, editing, and producing content that positively tells the story of BCS in a way that will elevate the school's success and contribute positively to student enrollment increase and fundraising contribution support.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, storyboard, write and direct video scripts for the purposes of sharing BCS' story on social media, at events, and internally. Film, edit, and produce videos for both short-term (announcements and updates) and long-term (documenting capital projects in process, communicating unique aspects about BCS) projects. Capture video footage in various settings like classrooms, at athletic competitions and community events. Work is seldom done in a studio, mostly in natural environments or inside buildings. Capture and edit photos for marketing purposes and social media, including athletics media days, classroom learning, chapel, and co-curricular activities. Collaborate to curate content for BCS' social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Assist in managing the communications interfaces that host marketing visual media content at
BCS:
social media accounts, internal screens, and other promotional applications. Assist team members with graphic design and other promotional projects as necessary. Assist in web design and development. Assist in capturing audio and video for the production of BCS' podcast. Assist in the creative direction of the school's Spirit Store.
Qualifications:
A storyteller with a passion for using the creative medium of video to persuade others to action. Have an understanding of the mission of Christian education and see this storytelling work as furthering God's kingdom and the institution of BCS. Work well with young people and is a collaborative team player. Familiar with video and photo editing software such as Adobe Creative Cloud and DaVinci Resolve studio. Familiar with Canva, Wordpress, Microsoft Office, Asana, and Sony camera systems.
Work Requirements:
High level English writing skills, with the demonstrated ability to write on a wide variety of topics and adapt style for a range of audiences, using correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, formatting, etc. Once the raw footage is generated, editing work is generally performed inside, sitting within an office environment, with standard office equipment. Occasional standing, bending, and lifting (less than 20 pounds) may be required. Occasional driving between locations (between 5 - 20 miles) therefore a valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
