Job Description

Board Operator WGAC-AM | Augusta, GA Beasley Media Group is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Board Operators to join the team at WGAC-AM in Augusta, Georgia . This role is responsible for ensuring smooth and accurate execution of live and syndicated programming, managing on-air operations, and maintaining the highest broadcast standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can multitask under pressure, and is committed to delivering a seamless listener experience. Board Operators work closely with the Program Director, on-air talent, and operations staff to ensure all programming, commercials, and broadcast elements air as scheduled. Key Responsibilities Execute seamless transitions between live, syndicated, and prerecorded programming. Monitor broadcast feeds and quickly troubleshoot technical issues as they arise. Ensure commercials, station imaging, and programming elements air accurately according to program logs. Maintain consistent on-air quality and programming flow. Collaborate with the Program Director and air talent to support daily broadcast operations. Edit audio content using Adobe Audition or similar audio editing software. Adhere to all FCC regulations and help protect the station's FCC license. Qualifications Dependable with a strong work ethic and the ability to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled shifts for programming preparation. Previous experience operating a radio broadcast console and automation systems preferred; training will be provided for qualified candidates. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow commercial and programming logs accurately. Experience with audio editing software, preferably Adobe Audition. Ability to think quickly, make sound decisions, and perform effectively in high-pressure situations. Comfortable multitasking while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Flexible schedule with availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and other shifts as needed. Self-motivated team player capable of working independently.
