Multimedia ReporterJob Summary:
The Marietta Daily Journal is seeking an energetic and versatile Multimedia Reporter. This full-time position is ideal for a strong storyteller who excels in traditional reporting and is equally comfortable producing video content and occasionally appearing on air. The successful candidate will cover breaking news, enterprise, feature stories and beat reporting to produce content across print, digital, video, broadcast and social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Report, write, and fact-check daily news stories for print and digital publicationCover beats as assigned. Shoot and edit video and still photo content for website, social media, and broadcast platformsAppear on camera as needed for live or recorded segmentsConduct interviews in person, by phone, and on cameraUse social media to report, promote stories, and engage audiencesAdhere to journalistic ethics and newsroom standardsSome holiday and weekend work required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Strong reporting, writing, and editing skillsExperience shooting and editing video; familiarity with basic broadcast production preferredComfortable working flexible hours, including nights and weekends as news demandsPosition available:
