Job Summary/Description:

KOSA/First Alert 7 is looking for an experienced news anchor with a passion for delivering breaking and hard news. The ideal candidate will have strong presentation skills and experience in covering breaking news and developing unique hard news content. They will be a newsroom leader with a passion for mentoring young journalists. Candidates should be social media

and streaming-minded and be the ultimate team player. Someone who wants to just show up and read the news should NOT apply. (Salary will be based on experience) Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Anchor newscasts, including streaming, as needed
Develop and report news stories for all platforms
Participate in daily editorial decisions and long-term strategic newscast initiatives
Produce elements of newscasts or entire newscasts.
Work on special projects, as assigned
Interact with viewers and users on social media sites

Qualifications/Requirements:

Three years of experience as a newscast anchor/reporter preferred
Strong hard news reporting skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to ad lib
Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Clean driving record
