Approximately 5 hours per week; hours may vary during special services and events Position Overview Providence Baptist Church is seeking a reliable and experienced part-time Audio Engineer to manage front-of-house and livestream audio for our Sunday worship services, scheduled rehearsals, and designated special services. The Audio Engineer will be responsible for creating a clear, balanced, and consistent sound experience for both the in-person congregation and the online audience. Our worship services include multiple vocalists, choirs, live musicians, keyboards, tracks, microphones, stage monitors, spoken word, and livestream audio. This is a recurring, in-person position requiring consistent Sunday availability, attendance at two rehearsals each month, and availability for two designated annual anniversary services. The Audio Engineer will operate an Allen & Heath Qu-32 digital mixing console. Primary Responsibilities Arrive by 10:00 a.m. each Sunday to prepare for the 11:00 a.m. worship service Operate the Allen & Heath Qu-32 digital mixing console Conduct sound checks for vocalists, choirs, musicians, microphones, tracks, monitors, and other audio sources Mix front-of-house audio during worship services and rehearsals Monitor and manage the audio being sent to the church's livestream Maintain clear and balanced sound for both the in-person congregation and online audience Ensure that lead vocals, background vocals, choirs, spoken word, instruments, and tracks are clear and properly balanced Manage stage-monitor mixes as needed Monitor audio levels and make real-time adjustments throughout services and rehearsals Identify and prevent feedback, distortion, excessive stage volume, and other sound problems Troubleshoot microphones, cables, monitors, mixer channels, livestream audio, and other related equipment Attend two scheduled worship-team and choir rehearsals each month Communicate and work closely with the Minister of Music, worship leaders, musicians, vocalists, media team, and church leadership Help maintain an organized, consistent, and dependable audio setup Qualifications Previous experience mixing live sound Working knowledge of digital mixing consoles, microphones, stage monitors, gain structure, EQ, compression, effects, routing, and feedback prevention Ability to mix audio for both an in-person audience and a livestream Experience operating an Allen & Heath Qu-series console, particularly the Qu-32, is preferred Experience mixing multiple vocalists, choirs, spoken word, tracks, and a live worship band Strong listening, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills Dependable transportation and consistent Sunday availability Ability to arrive on time and work calmly in a live worship environment Church, worship-production, or live-broadcast experience is strongly preferred Regular Schedule Every Sunday from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Sunday worship service begins at 11:00 a.m. and typically ends by 12:30 p.m. First and third Saturdays of each month from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. for praise-team and choir rehearsals Special Services and Events In addition to the regular schedule, the Audio Engineer will be expected to provide audio support for the following two annual services: Providence Baptist Church Anniversary Pastor and Wife's Anniversary Dates and hours for these services will be communicated in advance and compensated at the employee's regular hourly rate. Other afternoon programs, holiday services, concerts, funerals, weddings, and special church events may be offered on a case-by-case basis. Availability for these additional events will be discussed in advance, and all additional hours will be compensated separately. Compensation $30-$50 per hour, based on demonstrated experience and qualifications Final compensation will be determined by the candidate's live-sound, church-production, livestream-audio, and Allen & Heath Qu-series experience Additional services, events, and hours will be compensated separately To Apply Please submit a résumé or brief summary of your live-sound experience. Pay:
