Job Description

London Sound Club is seeking two experienced audio engineers to operate independently from our professional recording facility. Engineers are responsible for building their own client base, setting their own rates, and managing their own sessions while working from our studio. This opportunity is best suited for engineers who already have clients or are actively growing their business and want access to a professionally equipped recording environment. Responsibilities Record, edit, and manage professional recording sessions. Operate Pro Tools or Logic Pro X at a professional level. Properly set up microphones for vocals and instruments. Understand signal flow, gain staging, routing, and studio workflow. Operate outboard equipment correctly and safely. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional studio environment. Reset the recording room after every session, including returning all equipment, microphones, headphones, cables, furniture, and accessories to their designated locations. Treat all studio equipment with care. Provide excellent customer service and create a professional experience for clients. Arrive on time and keep scheduled sessions running efficiently. Requirements Professional experience recording artists or musicians. Strong working knowledge of Pro Tools or Logic Pro X. Experience using studio microphones, preamps, compressors, interfaces, and other professional recording equipment. Understanding of microphone selection and placement techniques. Knowledge of signal flow, patching, gain staging, and session management. Ability to troubleshoot recording issues independently. Reliable transportation. Professional attitude and communication skills. Ability to work without direct supervision. Preferred Qualifications Existing client base. Experience recording multiple genres. Mixing and editing experience. Portfolio or examples of previous work. Compensation This is an independent contractor opportunity. You set your own hourly rates. You find and book your own clients. You keep the revenue from your sessions.
