Job Description

Junior Video Editor Many Visions Media Casselberry, FL Job Details Contract $30 - $75 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications DaVinci Resolve Social media content creation Attention to detail Organizational skills Promotional video projects Full Job Description Junior Video Editor (Project-Based) — Many Visions Media Orlando, FL area About the role Many Visions Media is looking for a junior video editor to join us on a project-by-project basis. You'll cut social media content, real estate walkthroughs, recap videos and more for a range of clients in various industries. This is an entry-level position with real room to grow — strong editors have a path toward coordinating the entire post-production workflow, leading teams, and more! Key Responsibilities Assist in creating, editing, and finalizing video content for events, marketing campaigns, and social media Organize and manage video footage, ensuring all assets are stored systematically and are easily accessible Review raw footage, select usable segments, and organize clips for editing Add basic effects, transitions, music, and captions to video content following brand guidelines Collaborate to ensure video content aligns with campaign objectives Stay up-to-date with current trends and tools in video editing and storytelling Maintain deadlines and assist in managing multiple projects simultaneously What you'll be editing Social media reels (30-60 sec, horizontal & vertical formats) Real estate walkthrough videos Engaging event/brand recap videos Brand Documentaries Podcasts & More! What we're looking for Entry-level / junior editors welcome — we provide ongoing training Comfortable with initial cutdowns, light transitions, and basic color correction/light grading (we provide in-house power grades to apply) Own laptop capable of running DaVinci Resolve smoothly (Apple M1 or newer, or Intel i7 or higher) Access to DaVinci Resolve required Based in or near Orlando; able to meet in Fern Park at least once a week Please include links to past editing work with your application Pay & structure Projects are paid at a flat rate based on the estimated time to complete , not the actual hours you clock. For example, if a project is scoped at 4 hours and your rate is $40/hr, you're paid $160 for that project — whether it takes you 4 hours or 2.5.
That means:
If you work efficiently and deliver a great final product faster than the estimate, you keep the difference. Faster (skilled) editors effectively earn more per hour. Quality is non-negotiable. Rushing a cut to pad your effective rate isn't the goal — work has to meet the bar every time. Edits that come back sloppy or need heavy revisions will affect future project offers and rates. Estimates are set upfront per project based on scope (length, complexity, revisions included), so you'll always know what a project pays before you start. Rate ranges depend on experience level, speed, and quality of past work: Junior editor: $20-35/hr equivalent Mid-level editor: $35-50/hr equivalent Experienced editor: $50-75+/hr equivalent A typical simple social recap is scoped around 2-4 hours (import/organize, rough cut, music/pacing/transitions, color/audio/export). Qualifications Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve required — this is our exclusive editing software (no Premiere or Final Cut workflows) Basic knowledge of video production techniques, including shooting, lighting, and sound Familiarity with color grading and/or motion graphics tools is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines Excellent organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment A portfolio showcasing your video editing and production skills is required Previous experience or education in media, film, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory Why work with us Ongoing training and feedback to level up your craft Opportunities to grow into bigger projects and lead teams Flexible, project-based schedule To apply, send a few samples of your past work along with your availability and typical turnaround time.
