$55,000-$80,000/year, DOE We're looking for a Video Editor who thinks in creative cuts, lives for a clean color grade, and gets a little too excited when a scene finally feels right in the timeline. If you've got an editor's eye, patience, and a best idea wins attitude, we want to talk. Crystal Quest makes premium water filtration products, but don't let that fool you, we take our storytelling seriously. Product videos, instructional content, ads, brand pieces: we want it all to look like it belongs on a bigger screen than it may actually play on. Your job is to take raw footage and turn it into something people actually want to watch, not just scroll past. What You'll Actually Be Doing Take raw footage and cut it into something with rhythm, pacing, and a pulse. Build out advertisements, product demos, instructional videos, and brand content that doesn't feel like homework to watch. Layer in music, sound design, graphics, titles, and transitions. The stuff that separates "video" from "footage with a soundtrack slapped on." Color grade and mix audio so everything looks and sounds intentional, not accidental. Keep a consistent visual identity across projects, because nothing says "we don't have our act together" like five different fonts in one campaign. Collaborate with the content team to create projects that "Make water filters cool." Keep your project files and footage organized. Format and export for wherever the content is headed, from the big website to the small screens. Take notes and revise without taking it personally and have the confidence to discuss your own opinion. Notes can make things better. Sometimes. Juggle multiple projects and deadlines. Keep an eye on where editing and visual trends are heading, so our stuff never feels dated. Occasionally help on set. What You Bring to the Cutting Room Real, professional video editing experience. A portfolio or reel that shows us what you can actually do. Fluency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or your editing weapon of choice. Real, working ability in motion graphics, color correction, and audio mixing. A solid grasp of video formats and delivery specs. You know your codecs from your containers. An eye for detail and a genuine love of visual storytelling. You notice the one frame that's off. Strong organizational instincts and the ability to manage shifting priorities without losing your cool. Comfort working independently, but also as part of a team that actually likes collaborating. Experience with product, instructional, or marketing content is a plus. Photography, videography, or graphic design skills are a nice bonus, if you've got them. Your Talent, Our Tools You bring the skill, we bring the gear. A color-calibrated monitor, a proper editing workstation, and full access to the software you need to do the job right. Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, whatever your workflow calls for. No fighting outdated hardware or cracked plugins here. Where This Can Go We're a small content department right now, but our ideas aren't. As we grow, so does this role. There's a real path to move up into a Post-Production Director position as the team expands. Get in early, help shape how we do things, and grow with us. Benefits Health coverage Vision coverage Paid time off Why This Role? We're a people-first company, and we mean it. That means giving you the respect and the time you actually need to make the best project possible. Not rushing a cut just to hit an arbitrary deadline, and not micromanaging your process. We care about one thing above titles and tenure: best idea wins. If you've got a better way to cut the scene, we want to hear it. You'll get real creative ownership, a team that respects the craft, and the chance to make branded content that doesn't feel like branded content. No gimmicks, no chasing algorithms for the sake of it. Just good editing, good storytelling, and a team that wants your work to look great. If you've got the reel to back it up, we'd love to see it.
