Video Editor The Volo Network Las Vegas, NV Job Details Part-time | Full-time $20 - $25 an hour 12 hours ago Qualifications DaVinci Resolve Teamwork Final Cut Pro Attention to detail Adobe Premiere Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Video Editor to edit episodic television and digital show content. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, continuity, scene structure, dialogue editing, and post-production. This role will be responsible for transforming raw footage into polished, engaging episodes that maintain the tone, storyline, and creative direction of each show. This is a paid Full-Time and Part-Time opportunity for an editor who can work collaboratively with producers, directors, and the creative team while also managing projects independently. Duties Edit full-length episodes from raw footage through final delivery Review and organize raw footage, interviews, confessionals, B-roll, and additional production material Build scenes and storylines that maintain strong pacing and viewer engagement Edit dialogue while maintaining natural conversation and continuity Incorporate confessionals, reaction shots, cutaways, B-roll, and supporting footage where appropriate Create episode openings, teasers, recaps, transitions, and closing sequences Add lower thirds, titles, graphics, logos, captions, and other on-screen elements Synchronize multiple camera angles and audio tracks Perform audio cleanup, sound balancing, and basic sound design Perform color correction and basic color grading Incorporate music and sound effects to strengthen emotion and storytelling Identify strong moments, reactions, and scenes that contribute to the overall episode narrative Follow producer notes, director notes, and revisions throughout the editing process Maintain consistency between episodes, including visual style, graphics, audio, and overall show branding Organize project files and maintain secure storage of footage and completed episodes Export finished episodes according to required technical specifications and deadlines Create trailers, episode previews, teasers, and promotional cuts when needed Skills & Qualifications Previous experience editing television shows, digital series, reality-based programming, documentaries, interviews, or other episodic content Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer, or similar professional editing software Strong understanding of episodic storytelling and scene construction Ability to recognize compelling moments and build a clear storyline from large amounts of raw footage Experience working with multiple cameras and audio sources Strong knowledge of continuity, pacing, timing, and dialogue editing Experience with color correction and audio editing Ability to incorporate graphics, titles, lower thirds, and visual effects Strong organizational and file-management skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple episodes or projects Ability to meet production deadlines and respond efficiently to revision notes Strong attention to detail and creative judgment Excellent communication and collaboration skills Preferred Experience Experience editing any of the following is highly preferred: Reality television Unscripted television or digital series Entertainment programming Docuseries Talk or interview-based shows Lifestyle programming Relationship or ensemble-cast shows Celebrity or talent-driven programming What We're Looking For We are looking for an editor who understands that editing a show is more than simply cutting footage together. You should be able to identify the story within the footage , build engaging scenes, understand character dynamics, recognize important reactions and emotional moments, and create episodes that keep viewers interested from beginning to end. The right candidate should understand when a scene needs to breathe, when it needs to move faster, and how to use interviews, confessionals, music, reactions, and B-roll to strengthen the story without making the edit feel forced.
