YOU MUST HAVE PHOTO / VIDEO SAMPLES OF YOUR WORK TO APPLY 20
hours per week | In-person | $18-$20/hour Studio Barn Creative is a small digital marketing agency that works exclusively with companies in the construction industry. That means our cameras come back from job sites with excavators, concrete crews, commercial lighting projects, stone fabrication, heavy equipment, people working in the field and, yes, a whole lot of dirt. We're looking for someone who can help turn all of that raw photo and video into really good finished work. This is not a senior editor position , and we're not looking for someone with a 10-year résumé. Our ideal person probably has about 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere and Lightroom Classic . You know your way around both programs, but you're still learning. You experiment. You watch tutorials because you genuinely want to know how someone pulled off an edit. And when you figure out a better way to do something, you use it. More than anything, you have an eye. You notice when one video clip suddenly looks greener than the clip before it. You can tell when the exposure or white balance shifts between images that are supposed to be part of the same series. You notice the random object in the background that everyone else somehow missed. Those little things matter to us.
What You'll Be Doing:
You'll work with the photo and video our team captures for Studio Barn Creative clients and help take it from raw files to finished content.
That will include:
Editing video in Adobe Premiere Turning raw footage into short-form social videos, reels and other marketing content Selecting the strongest clips and making decisions about pacing, sequencing and timing Color correcting and matching footage so an edit feels cohesive from beginning to end Editing RAW photography in Adobe Lightroom Classic Adjusting exposure, color, cropping, masking and other details that make a good image better Editing groups of images so they look like they belong together Noticing distractions or things that don't belong in an image and correcting them when appropriate Exporting finished assets for social media, websites and other marketing uses Keeping editing files and finished assets organized Some projects will have very clear direction. Others will give you room to make creative decisions of your own. We want both.
What We're Looking For:
You don't have to know everything.
You do need:
Approximately 1-2 years of experience using Adobe Premiere and Lightroom Classic A strong visual eye and unusually good attention to detail An understanding of basic color correction and image consistency The ability to look at your own work critically and make it better Curiosity about new editing techniques, tools and technology The ability to take direction without needing constant direction Good organizational habits Reliability A willingness to ask questions when you don't know something Experience with Photoshop, After Effects, motion graphics or other Adobe Creative Cloud programs is a bonus, but not a requirement.
Who Will Probably Like Working Here:
Someone who wants to become really good at this. Studio Barn Creative is a small team, so you won't be buried several layers away from the actual work. You'll see where your edits go, how clients use them and what makes one piece of content work better than another. You'll also be working alongside people who care about the quality of the finished product and are willing to teach what we know. We're not expecting perfection on your first day. We are expecting you to care enough to notice when something isn't quite right. If you're early in your creative career and looking for a place where you can make a noticeable contribution while becoming a much stronger editor, we'd like to meet you.
