Maybe you're hardworking, great with people, comfortable working independently, and excited to learn a creative skill—but you haven't found the right opportunity yet. Chicago Real Estate Photography is looking for a Creative Listing Media Specialist to join our growing Chicago team. And you do not need to be an expert photographer or videographer already. We'll train you. We can teach photography, video, drone, 3D scanning, camera equipment, real estate media, and our shooting systems. What's harder to teach? Work ethic. Reliability. Personality. Coachability. Attention to detail. And the desire to get really good at what you do. That's who we're looking for. About Chicago Real Estate Photography Chicago Real Estate Photography is a growing real estate media company helping real estate professionals market their listings and businesses through photography, video, drone, floor plans, 3D tours, and social media content. But our business is about more than producing great media. We're in the client-service business. Our goal is to create an exceptional experience from the moment we arrive at a property until the final media is delivered. We build long-term relationships with our clients by being dependable, professional, easy to work with, and consistently delivering high-quality work. We're a close-knit team with high standards. We take our work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. We communicate, give feedback, help each other improve, and expect everyone to follow through. What You'll Do This is not a desk job. Most days, you'll grab your equipment, get in your car, and travel to several properties throughout the Chicago area.
You'll:
Photograph residential real estate Capture professional video and drone footage Complete floor plans and 3D property scans Meet and communicate with Realtors and homeowners Provide an excellent client experience at every shoot Help agents feel comfortable and confident on camera Manage your equipment and daily shoot schedule Follow our photography, video, and customer-service standards Adapt when homes, schedules, or shoot conditions change Upload files and shoot notes to our editing team You focus on shooting and taking care of the client. Our editing team handles the editing. What We'll Teach You You do not need to already know how to do every part of this job. Our paid training program will teach you: Professional real estate photography Sony mirrorless camera systems Composition, lighting, and shooting techniques Real estate video and gimbal operation Drone photography and videography FAA Part 107 drone operations Floor plans and 3D scanning Client communication Agent on-camera coaching Efficient shoot-day workflows Equipment management Chicago Real Estate Photography shooting standards and systems Training typically takes approximately 2-3 weeks , followed by continued coaching, feedback, and development. We're going to invest heavily in teaching you. We're looking for someone willing to invest just as much into learning. Part-Time Now. Opportunity to Build a Career. This position begins as a variable-hour position averaging approximately 25-35 hours per week , depending on client demand and seasonality. For the right person, there is an opportunity to grow into a full-time salaried position with Chicago Real Estate Photography. That opportunity is earned. Show up. Be dependable. Master the craft. Take feedback. Take care of clients. Support your teammates. Keep improving. As you prove yourself, we want to give you more responsibility, more opportunity, and room to grow with the company. If you're looking for a temporary gig, this probably isn't the right fit.
If your mindset is:
"Give me an opportunity, teach me, and let me prove what I can do." We want to meet you. Why You'll Be Great for This Role We're looking for someone who brings a strong mix of creativity, professionalism, discipline, and people skills. You'll likely thrive here if you have: Photography experience (1+ year preferred, but not required) Videography or drone experience — a plus, but willingness to learn is required A valid FAA Part 107 drone certification , or the ability to obtain one within 4 weeks of starting A professional demeanor with excellent customer-service skills Strong creative problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities The ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and high standards for quality A kind, personable, and empathetic approach with clients and teammates A coachable attitude and growth mindset Discipline, consistency, and self-motivation Strong communication and interpersonal skills The ability to work independently without constant supervision A valid driver's license and reliable transportation Bonus Points You'll stand out even more if you have: Experience in real estate, marketing, sales, or operations Experience shooting real estate photography or video Comfort using a 3-axis gimbal Experience flying drones for photography or video Proficiency with DSLR or mirrorless camera systems and lenses Familiarity with Sony mirrorless cameras Experience working directly with clients Experience with 3D tours, floor plans, or real estate media software Flexible Schedule—But Not "Whenever I Feel Like It" Flexible Real estate moves quickly. Many appointments are scheduled only 1-2 days in advance , so flexibility and communication are important. We connect with your Google Calendar so you can block off times you are unavailable. If your calendar is open, our scheduling team knows you are available to work. We're looking for someone who can provide availability approximately 3-5 days per week, Monday through Friday , with occasional Saturday availability being a plus. Hours vary based on client demand. This position may not be a good fit if you require guaranteed hours or the exact same schedule every week.
Requirements You must:
Live in the Chicago area Have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle Have an iPhone 15 or newer Have a laptop and reliable high-speed internet Have at least 2 years of customer-service experience Be comfortable driving throughout the Chicago area Be comfortable being on your feet and working independently Be comfortable learning new technology and equipment Be willing to obtain your FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot Certificate within 4 weeks if you do not already have one We provide Part 107 study materials and pay for your exam. We do not currently hire active practicing Realtors for this position due to a direct conflict of interest. This Probably Isn't For You If... You require guaranteed 9-5 hours You're frequently late or struggle with follow-through You dislike driving You don't enjoy meeting or talking to new people You need someone constantly telling you what to do next You struggle when plans change You don't like following established systems You become defensive when receiving feedback You're uncomfortable learning new technology You're looking for a short-term job rather than an opportunity to grow Compensation + Benefits $27-$32/hour based on experience $0.70/mile reimbursement for work-related driving Approximately 25-35 hours per week Paid training Bonus pay for qualifying evening shoots Professional photography, video, and drone equipment provided Flexible scheduling Professional development and ongoing training FAA Part 107 training materials and exam reimbursement Potential path to a full-time salaried position The Bottom Line You don't need to already know how to do every part of this job. You need to be dependable. You need to care about people. You need to want to learn. You need to hold yourself to a high standard. And you need to be the kind of person we want to invest in. We'll teach you the craft. You bring the attitude, work ethic, and commitment to becoming great at it.
