VIDEOGRAPHER
  • Town of Lunenburg (Lunenburg, MA) The Town of Lunenburg is seeking a skilled and motivated Videographer to join its Public Access Channel production team.
Under the direction of the PAC Manager, the successful candidate will contribute to producing high-quality video content that serves the community. About the
Role:
Support the production of video programming for Lunenburg Public Access channels. Record and/or broadcast municipal meetings, events, sports, concerts, and other community programming. Perform video editing and post-production work, operate equipment in studio and field environments, and assist with live broadcasts. This is a part-time position requiring flexible availability, including evenings, late nights, occasional long hours, and weekends. Two positions are available.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Record and/or live broadcast municipal meetings, events, sports, concerts, and other programming as directed
  • Operate cameras and recording equipment in studio and field settings
  • Work in a multi-camera production environment
  • Perform post-production processes, including video editing
  • Troubleshoot camera and recording equipment issues
  • Set up, test, maintain, and return equipment promptly and intact
  • Ensure all necessary equipment is present and functioning before a production
  • Create video projects to expand community programming, with manager approval
  • Administer basic video file procedures on the CASTUS program server
  • Use channel playback, scheduling, and live-streaming equipment as needed
  • Follow standardized practices, procedures, regulations, guidelines, and the Videographer Policy
  • Communicate effectively with department heads, Town employees, community members, public officials, local businesses, volunteers, and outside media departments
  • Adapt methods and interpret instructions to resolve routine production challenges and unusual situations
  • Learn and use new technology as production needs evolve
  • Adjust priorities, manage time effectively, and meet production deadlines
  • Work at multiple locations throughout the community
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • One to three years of experience in cable television production and/or prior videography experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Final Cut Pro or similar video editing software highly desirable
  • Strong videography, audio recording, and video editing skills
  • Familiarity with video recording and broadcast equipment
  • Ability to set up and operate video production equipment
  • Ability to work in a multi-camera production environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours outside normal business hours, including evenings and occasional weekends
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Creativity, flexibility, enthusiasm, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people
  • Regular Class D driver?
s license required
Preferred:
  • Experience with TriCaster or an equivalent video switcher
  • Familiarity with CASTUS or other video playback systems
  • Knowledge of live-streaming technology, channel playback, and scheduling equipment
  • Current knowledge of studio and post-production equipment
  • Experience with industry-standard video editing programs
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
Compensation:
  • \$19.05
  • \$23.42/hr
  • Part-time position, 2-10 hours per week; Grade 3 Salary Administration Plan.
