Contract Videographer

Entry-Level JobVerifiedNo experience needed

Job Description

Charlotte, we need a shooter. We're a locally owned dealership here in town, hiring one videographer to handle our social video on a monthly contract. We're keeping the store name quiet until we talk, but this is steady, paid, recurring work. Not a "great exposure" situation. The gig One scheduled content day at the store each month. You'll work from a shot list we provide, film vertical video for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts, and grab photos while you're at it. A big part of the day is directing our people: getting a salesperson comfortable on camera, walking a manager through talking points, keeping things moving. Then you edit. Clean cuts, music, text overlays where they make sense, basic color. Each shoot turns into a month's worth of finished shorts plus edited photos, delivered in an organized folder, raw footage included. We'll nail down exact counts and turnaround when we talk. Strategy, post captions, and publishing stay on our side. If the first few months go well, more work will follow. Who we're looking for Honestly? Someone who's really good at short-form video. You don't need to know cars. If you can hook a viewer in the first second and keep them watching, we can fill in the car stuff. You shoot and edit your own work on professional-quality camera and audio gear You're comfortable directing people who are not comfortable on camera You're in or around Charlotte, with reliable transportation and a schedule that can hold a monthly commitment You communicate early about scheduling, questions, and delays Students welcome. If you're still building your reel, a steady monthly client is a pretty good way to do it Who this isn't for No agencies, no brokers, no production companies planning to hand the work to somebody else. Nothing personal. We want to work directly with the person holding the camera. The paperwork Not glamorous, but required before your first shoot: W-9 Certificate of Insurance (general liability; we'll send the minimums) Workers' comp coverage or a signed waiver Valid driver's license Our standard services agreement (we'll walk you through it) Pay Above market per shoot, and we'll tell you about the number in the first conversation instead of dragging it out over three interviews. How to apply Send a link to your reel or your best social work, plus a couple of sentences about yourself. Video and photo examples both help. Personal accounts and class projects count. Skip the cover letter.

From $750.00 per day
