Videographer / Photographer Texas Pools Inc. and family of companies is seeking a talented Videographer / Photographer to capture the craftsmanship, transformation, and finished beauty of our custom swimming pool projects. For more than four decades, we have designed and built custom swimming pools and outdoor living environments throughout the Woodlands, and the Greater Houston area. Our work is centered on quality craftsmanship, thoughtful design, attention to detail, and creating exceptional backyard environments for our customers. This position will spend significant time in the field documenting projects throughout the construction process as well as professionally photographing and filming completed pools and outdoor living environments. The ideal candidate understands how to make architecture, water, landscapes, people, and construction visually compelling. This is an in-house creative position working closely with the Texas Pools family of companies marketing team to develop concepts, capture content, and produce polished photography and video that strengthens the our brand across our websites, social media, advertising, educational content, and other marketing channels.

In person with Texas Pools Key Responsibilities Capture high-quality video of swimming pool projects throughout various stages of construction. Create professional finished-project videos showcasing pools, spas, water features, outdoor living spaces, landscaping, and architectural details. Photograph completed projects for use on our website, social media, advertising, award submissions, and other marketing materials. Produce high-quality, magazine-worthy finished-project photography that showcases the overall design as well as the details, materials, features, and craftsmanship of each project. Assist with staging completed pools and outdoor living environments when necessary to ensure projects are presented at their best for photography and video. Capture construction processes, craftsmanship, equipment, crews, and behind-the-scenes footage that can be used for educational and marketing content. Operate drones to capture professional aerial photography and cinematic video footage of projects. Shoot exterior video and photography in challenging outdoor conditions, including bright sunlight, reflections, moving water, shadows, and changing weather. Capture both horizontal and vertical video suitable for websites, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Reels, Shorts, and other digital platforms. Identify interesting angles, movements, details, and compositions that communicate the quality and scale of a project. Work with the Texas Pools marketing team to develop footage for project showcases, educational videos, customer stories, social media, and advertising. Collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualize and plan content, campaigns, project stories, customer testimonials, educational videos, and other creative initiatives that support company marketing goals. Develop engaging visual stories that communicate not only what Texas Pools and its family of companies build, but the craftsmanship, expertise, people, and processes behind each project. Edit and produce polished video content, incorporating appropriate music, graphics, text, narration, interviews, and other elements when needed to strengthen the story. Create a variety of content, including project showcases, customer testimonials, educational and how-to videos, construction stories, promotional pieces, short-form social content, and behind-the-scenes footage. Optimize finished photography and video for the platforms where it will be used, including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, websites, advertising campaigns, and other digital channels. Organize and maintain a well-structured library of photographs, raw video footage, drone footage, and completed media. Properly maintain, organize, and responsibly manage company camera, drone, lighting, audio, and production equipment. Stay current with photography, videography, drone, editing, social media, and digital marketing trends, along with emerging technologies and techniques that can improve the quality and effectiveness of Texas Pools and its family of companies content. Required Skills Strong videography skills with an understanding of composition, lighting, camera movement, exposure, and storytelling. Excellent still photography skills are a must. Demonstrated ability to professionally photograph architecture, landscapes, outdoor environments, or similar subjects. Strong experience shooting video outdoors and working with natural light. Skilled drone pilot capable of producing smooth, professional aerial photography and video. Knowledge of proper drone operation and applicable FAA requirements. Ability to capture visually appealing footage of water, reflective surfaces, landscaping, structures, and architectural details. Understanding of frame rates, stabilization, lenses, filters, exposure, and other techniques necessary for professional outdoor production. Strong understanding of lighting, sound recording, microphones, camera systems, and other production equipment. Ability to recognize and capture the small details that demonstrate craftsmanship and differentiate a luxury custom project. Experience preparing content for both traditional widescreen video and vertical social media formats. Strong visual storytelling ability and the creative judgment to turn raw footage and photography into compelling finished content. Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to plan shoots and meet production deadlines. Dependable, organized, and comfortable traveling to active construction sites and completed projects throughout the Woodlands, Magnolia, Cypress and the Greater Houston area. Ability to work independently in the field while also collaborating effectively with the marketing team, sales team, construction personnel, customers, and other members of the Texas Pools and its family of companies' organization. Professional communication skills and the ability to interact appropriately with customers when photographing or filming at their homes. Preferred Skills Experience with any of the following is a plus: Architectural or real estate photography Luxury home or outdoor-living photography Construction videography Social media content creation Video editing and color correction Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Canva, Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar software Creating short-form social media videos and Reels Interview and testimonial filming Audio recording and wireless microphone systems Time-lapse construction photography FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification Degree in Film, Video Production, Photography, Media Arts, Marketing, or a related field; however, equivalent professional experience and a strong portfolio may be considered in place of a degree. What We're Looking For We are looking for more than someone who simply operates a camera. We want someone with a creative eye who can walk onto a project and recognize what is worth capturing and how to make it look exceptional. Our pools are highly visual, custom-built projects. The right person should be able to document the story of a backyard as it progresses from construction to completion while also producing polished photography and video that reflects the quality of the Texas Pools and its family of companies brands. We want someone who takes ownership of the creative process—from recognizing an opportunity and planning the shot through capturing, editing, organizing, and delivering the finished content. The ideal person will also be curious and continually improving their craft, seeking out better techniques, technologies, equipment, editing methods, and creative approaches rather than simply relying on what they already know. Portfolio Required Applicants should provide a portfolio or examples demonstrating: Outdoor videography Still photography Drone videography Architectural, landscape, construction, real estate, or similar project photography Examples of edited and completed video productions, when available Experience specifically photographing swimming pools is preferred but not required. Applicants should submit a resume and portfolio showcasing relevant photography and videography experience. A cover letter or brief introduction explaining relevant experience and interest in the position is encouraged.
