Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customs Entry Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team. In this pivotal role, you will manage the accurate and timely processing of customs entries, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and facilitating smooth international trade operations. Your expertise will help optimize supply chain efficiency, uphold regulatory standards, and support our commitment to seamless global trade management. Duties Prepare and submit customs entries in accordance with international trade regulations, including customs brokerage management and customs clearance procedures. Review shipping documentation such as invoices, bills of lading, and export/import declarations to ensure accuracy and compliance with FDA regulations, OSHA standards, and transportation safety regulations. Collaborate with freight forwarders, carriers, and regulatory agencies to facilitate smooth clearance processes while managing risks associated with non-compliance or delays. Maintain detailed records of customs transactions, regulatory reporting, and compliance management activities using global trade management software and Excel data analysis tools. Monitor changes in international trade regulations, including Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) guidelines, to ensure ongoing compliance across all operations. Conduct regular audits of import/export activities to identify potential issues related to logistics compliance or trade restrictions. Support export management initiatives by coordinating documentation and ensuring adherence to international trade laws and supply chain standards. Requirements Proven experience in customs brokerage management, import/export procedures, or related roles within logistics or supply chain environments. Strong understanding of customs regulations compliance, including FDA regulations, OFAC guidelines, and transportation safety regulations. Technical proficiency with global trade management software, Excel data analysis, and report writing for regulatory reporting purposes. Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), fleet management practices, and freight handling processes. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with OSHA standards related to warehouse safety and logistics operations is preferred. Ability to adapt quickly to changing regulations within international trade laws and supply chain requirements.
