Be a part of our team as we transform the logistics industry by combining human talent with innovative technology. As our entry writer, your Key Responsibilities are, but not limited to:
Documentation Preparation:
Prepare and review all necessary customs documentation for import and export shipments, including entry forms, invoices, and bills of lading.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all entries comply with CBP and PGA regulations, including classification, valuation, and duty assessments.
Communication:
Communicate with clients, carriers, and customs officials to resolve issues and provide updates on the status of shipments.
Issue Resolution:
Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to customs entries, working to ensure timely resolution and compliance.
Client Service:
Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns related to customs processes and documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Customs Brokerage, International Trade, or a related field. In-depth knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), and trade compliance. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Must have experience as an entry writer in freight forwarding. Must have Cargowise experience.
