The Role:
We are currently looking for passionate, curious freelance writers to pitch and produce high-quality, journalistic articles for our upcoming issues. Specifically, we are looking to commission three feature articles tailored to the cannabis community. We want compelling stories, deep dives, and fresh perspectives that align with our four pillars (Cannabis, Creatives, Community & Culture) and actively help normalize cannabis in modern society. We are highly open to your unique ideas, so bring your best pitches to the table.
What You'll Do:
Pitch Original Ideas:
Present unique, engaging story concepts that resonate with the cannabis community and align with our core pillars.
Write Journalistic Features:
Produce well-researched, objective, and professionally written articles that educate, inspire, and foster community.
Conduct Research & Cite Sources:
Back up your writing with credible sources, expert interviews, and verifiable facts to build trust with our readership.
Collaborate:
Work directly with the founding team to refine angles and ensure your stories fit the magazine's welcoming voice and vision.
What We Are Looking For:
Proven experience in journalism, freelance writing, or editorial work (clips/portfolio required). A strong understanding of the cannabis industry, its culture, and the current conversations surrounding destigmatization.
