Intermediate and Advanced Level Adult ELL Teacher Project Literacy - 4.3 Watertown, MA Job Details Part-time $30 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Bachelor of Science Google Cloud Platform Master of Arts Student-centered approaches (student motivation techniques) Bachelor of Arts Adult language education Full Job Description Intermediate and Advanced Level Adult ELL Teacher Project Literacy, a division of the Watertown Free Public Library, is a community-based adult English language learning program in Watertown, Massachusetts. We serve over 500 learners in professionally taught classes, in small groups, and working one on one with tutors. We are searching for energetic, experienced Intermediate and Advanced level ELL teachers to join our dynamic team of passionate teachers for our 2026/2027 academic year, which runs from mid-September through May, 2027. Classes are held in-person on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-8:30pm. Responsibilities Prepare and teach lessons that actively engage adult students in English language learning at the intermediate level or Advanced level Work with other staff members on student, program, and teaching issues Participate in regular staff meetings and in-service workshops Maintain required records such as student attendance, student progress, and student goals Share Project Literacy updates with students Qualifications B.S./B.A. or M.A. in ELL or related field preferred Experience in teaching with a participatory, learner-centered approach, preferably with adult immigrants in a community-based setting Experience with Google Cloud Platform preferred Fluency in a second language is preferred Schedule and Hourly Rate The schedule includes 7 hours a week with regularly scheduled staff meetings every 6-8 weeks.
