Visitation Monitor and Parenting Educator Supporting Area Families Everyday (SAFE) is seeking a dependable, compassionate individual to join our team as a Visitation Monitor and Parenting Educator. This position supports families by providing a safe, structured, and neutral environment for children to maintain important family relationships. The right candidate will be comfortable working with families experiencing challenging circumstances, remain neutral during difficult situations, and complete clear, objective documentation. Responsibilities Monitor supervised parenting time and safe custody exchanges Maintain a safe, welcoming, and child-focused environment Observe interactions and document visits clearly and objectively Enforce program guidelines and professional boundaries Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, court personnel, and SAFE staff Deliver evidence-based parenting education classes as needed Prepare class materials and maintain required program documentation Complete required training and participate in staff meetings Protect client confidentiality at all times Qualifications Experience working with children and families is preferred Background in education, human services, social work, criminal justice, counseling, or a related field is helpful Strong written communication and documentation skills Ability to remain calm, neutral, and professional in stressful situations Comfortable speaking in front of individuals and small groups Dependable, organized, and able to work independently Willingness to work some evening and weekend hours Must successfully complete all required background clearances and mandated reporter training Reliable transportation is required This position is a good fit for someone who is patient, observant, compassionate, and able to maintain clear boundaries. Training will be provided.
