About Attacca Attacca School of Music is a community of dedicated faculty, families, and students committed to thoughtful, high-quality music education. Our goal is to help students of all ages develop strong musicianship, confidence, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for music through private lessons, chamber music, group classes, workshops, frequent performances, and community events. We believe excellent teaching comes from educators who are continually refining their pedagogy, collaborating with colleagues, and investing in meaningful relationships with students and families. Position Details Teaching Day Tuesdays between 3:00-8:00pm from September 2026 17 week semesters (Fall and Spring) September through June 3 week teaching commitment over the summers Holidays built into calendar Teaching Responsibilities Teach private voice lessons to students with a range of ages/levels - ages 8 through adult Prepare students for and encourage participation in recitals, Performance Hours, workshops, chamber music, group classes, and other school programming. Communicate professionally and proactively with administration Maintain accurate attendance and lesson records Collaborate with fellow faculty members Participate in faculty meetings and school professional development Perform in the annual Attacca Faculty Concert Candidate Details Qualifications Minimum of bachelors degree in music; masters preferred Has at least 2-3 years of experience teaching at an established music school Is comfortable teaching students of all ages and levels Takes pride in their students' musical growth and long-term success Has long term goals for their pedagogy and improvement of skills Lives within a reasonable commuting distance of Belmont Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills Values collaboration and is able receive feedback Is organized, dependable, and responsive Commitment This position is intended for educators who intend to remain in the Greater Boston area for at least the next 2-3 years, build a long term studio, and who view teaching as a professional priority and not a supplement Candidates who anticipate relocating, or shifting in career focus within the next two years are not encouraged to apply. Compensation $52-60/hour W-2 hourly compensation based on degree level, teaching experience and length of tenure at the school.
