Job Description:

The Film Department of SUNY Westchester Community College seeks Adjunct Faculty for cinema studies courses.

Responsibilities of the incumbent include:

Prepare and deliver instruction in introductory film analysis courses to a diverse student body, using departmental textbook on film language; Provide regular and timely feedback to students and utilize innovative classroom instruction to promote student success; Actively participate in all Departmental assessments and classroom management requirements. Morning, afternoon and evening teaching assignments may be offered on weekdays and/or weekends, on the main campus or at extension sites throughout Westchester.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate must have a Master's Degree in Film or a closely related field and a minimum of one year's experience teaching cinema studies at the advanced high school or college level.
