Position Description Summary Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania invites applications for temporary faculty positions (full-time one semester, part-time one semester or part-time academic year) as needs arise in the Department of Music, Theatre and Dance. Duties Based on the specific needs of the department at the time of appointment, a successful applicant must be qualified to teach the following. The most frequent needs of the Department include:

Applied Music Instructors (private lessons and weekly studio class) and Music Student Teacher Supervisors Anticipated needs for the 2024-2025 academic year also include: Ensemble Directors (Marching Band, Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Bloomsburg campus; Orchestra, Mansfield campus) and Music Technology Instruction (Bloomsburg campus) The location for these temporary positions varies with the expectation of serving a multi-campus University within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. Qualifying Experience and Education (Minimum/Preferred)

Minimum Requirements:

Applied Music Instructor Position Master's degree in music discipline, education or related field Record of performance and pedagogy experience Music Student Teacher Supervision Position Master's degree in education, music discipline or related field Music teaching experience Ensemble Director Position Master's degree in music education, conducting, or related field Experience conducting music ensembles Music Technology Position Master's degree in music technology or related field, or equivalent experience in music recording technologies and/or live sound reinforcement

Preferred Qualifications:
