Position Summary The Elementary Art Instructor designs and delivers engaging visual arts instruction for students in grades 1-8. This educator inspires creativity through hands-on experiences while helping students build artistic skills, confidence, and an appreciation for diverse artistic traditions and perspectives. Key Responsibilities Plan and teach dynamic, age-appropriate visual arts lessons aligned with school goals. Foster a welcoming classroom environment where every student feels encouraged to explore and create. Introduce students to a variety of artistic media, techniques, cultures, and historical movements. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students. Organize and maintain an inspiring, safe, and well-equipped art studio. Assess student growth and communicate progress with families in a meaningful way. Collaborate with classroom teachers and colleagues to integrate art across the curriculum. Coordinate student art displays, exhibitions, and school-wide celebrations of creativity. Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events. Qualifications Education in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field Experience teaching elementary-aged students. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Passion for nurturing creativity, curiosity, and confidence in young learners. Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to a positive school culture.
