DIGITAL ART TEACHER
Job Description
Sounds of Color Studio, Orange County's best music and creative arts school, is seeking a qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated Digital Art Teacher to meet our growing demand.
Primary responsibilities include teaching Digital Art classes for students ages 5 and up, including all skill levels from beginner to advanced. Weekly projects should be planned to introduce students to fundamental art techniques, and how to apply those skills in a digital medium. Relevant skills and mediums taught include, but are not limited to: photorealism, sketching, painting, self-portrait, animation, and more.
Job Requirements:
To plan and teach digital art classes for groups of students ages 5 and up Prepare fun weekly projects that support student engagement and skill development Prompt communication with parents/guardians and timely updates on student progress Prepare and clean up the classroom area before/after each class Clean background check and medical clearance (Live Scan fingerprint clearance with Department of Justice and FBI is required prior to official start of employment) Reliable transportation
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Engaging and friendly personality Comfortable working with groups of students of various ages and skill levels Independent worker with excellent time-management skills Strong organization and planning skills Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written Effective classroom management skills A strong background and passion for digital and visual art Experience teaching digital art classes is required Experience teaching with professional digital art software (ex. Procreate), Wacom® tablets, iPad + Apple Pencil is required Additional experience teaching visual art classes is preferred Candidates may be asked to submit a portfolio of relevant work for review

Contract (Part-Time) In-Person Sounds of Color Studio is open Monday
Saturday. Weekday hours of operation (Monday
Friday) are "after school" typically between 3pm
8pm, and on Saturday from 9am
2pm.
