Art Teacher - Hope Learning Academy

Job Description

Art Teacher - Hope Learning Academy Springfield, IL Pay Range = $48,000-$74,000 annually (based on experience) The Art Teacher creates and implements Art Program sessions at Hope Learning Academy based on goals outlined in the student s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or by the classroom teacher.
Essential Duties:
Conduct baseline Art Program session to determine student s current level of functioning in the Art setting. Design an Art program based on current cognitive, social, emotional, communications, and motor goals. Implement targeted programs/activities in weekly sessions, either in group or individual settings. Provide students with an enjoyable Art experience in the classroom which allows the opportunity for group as well as individual participation in the areas of creativity, use of materials, multi-media experiences, etc. Record student s or class s progress after each session, including goals addressed, session plan, comments, and thoughts/ideas for next session. Provide Art resources for classroom teachers as necessary, including requested projects, lesson plans, and materials by subject areas (animals, seasons, holidays, etc.).

LBS1 certified Teaching certificate Experience working with children with developmental disabilities.
